Choral Planet is thrilled to partner with our friends at Tour Resource Consultants to create an extraordinary Festival Singers experience in Salzburg.
Thursday, July 8
- Singers arrive in Salzburg
- Welcome dinner
- After dinner, optional easy orientation walk through the Mirabell Gardens
Friday, July 9
- Morning: Guided walking tour of Salzburg Old Town – Mirabell Gardens, Makartsteg, Getreidegasse, Mozartplatz, Residenzplatz, and the Cathedral area
- 1:00-1:50 pm – Vocal Technique
- 2:00-5:00 pm – Rehearsal
- Dinner break
- 7:00-9:00 pm – Rehearsal

- 9:00-9:50 am – Vocal Technique
- 10:00 am-12:30 pm – Rehearsal

Monday, July 12
- Full-day Salzkammergut excursion to St. Gilgen, St. Wolfgang, and Hallstatt. This will be a fantastic day of exploring the charming scenery and villages of the Austrian Alps, the Salzkammergut.

- Morning excursion: Hohenwerfen Fortress, south of Salzburg
- Return to Salzburg in the afternoon
- 4:30-7:30 pm – Rehearsal in the intended finale performance venue, Christuskirche (TBC)
Friday, July 16

- Group lunch around 1:00 pm
- Rehearsal in Salzburg Cathedral (TBC)
- 3:00-4:00 pm – Concert (TBC). Afterward: Austrian Kaffee und Kuchen together
- Evening free
Saturday, July 17
- Morning and early afternoon free
- 4:30-5:30 pm – Rehearsal in Christuskirche Salzburg (TBC)
- 6:00 pm – Finale Concert (TBC)
- 8:00 pm – Farewell Banquet

Program Cost
Singers
$2,650.00 USD
Inclusions:
- Program leadership and support from the Artistic Director and one TRC Tour Manager throughout the program
- 13 rehearsals (10 in air-conditioned spaces, 3 in performance venues)
- 2 performances (venues TBC)
- 3 group meals (one welcome dinner and two meals after our performances)
- Daily rehearsals and festival performances led by internationally renowned conductor Dr. Hilary Apfelstadt
- Vocal technique sessions with Dr. Jamie-Rose Guarrine
- Access to a shared drive containing choral resources curated by the artistic staff
- Guided Sightseeing Tour of Salzburg
- Salzkammergut one day excursion by motorcoach (Austrian Alps)
- Paid entrances to Hallstatt village
- All gratuities to bus drivers, managers, local guides and group meal waitstaff included
- A Comprehensive Travel Protection Plan will be offered on bahalf of all participants
- A Pre-Festival Zoom Meeting with Choral Planet and TRC Staff to review the itinerary and answer questions
Exclusions:
- Airfare and travel to/from Salzburg
- Lodging (a group package will be offered)
- Meals not listed above
- Gratuities for hotel staff (participant discretion)
Participants arrange their own airfare and accommodations. This allows flexibility, use of airline miles/points, and the option to arrive early or extend travel. Salzburg has many hotels and rental options (Airbnb, Vrbo). Participants often share accommodations to reduce costs.
Travel Companions
$850.00 USD
- Adult (18+) companions welcome; space is limited.
- The companion package includes all listed group tours, meals, transportation, gratuities, and access to program staff. Travel companions do not participate in rehearsals, vocal technique sessions, or performances. However, they attend as supportive audience members throughout the week.
Payment and Cancellation Policy
Payment
A $300 nonrefundable deposit is required upon acceptance; it applies to the total fee. The remaining balance can be paid in full upon acceptance or in two installments:
- February 12, 2027: 50% of remaining balance due
- March 19, 2027: Final balance due
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be submitted in writing. After March 19, 2027, all payments are nonrefundable. Please note that no exceptions can be made. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
